What this means for families
If your child already attends a Spark Pediatrics center or a Healthcare for Kids center: nothing changes. Same center, same team, same care.
If you have been looking for a center and could not find one close enough: there may be one now. Eight new addresses opened up across four states, including two states where Spark Pediatrics had no presence.
If you are new to all of this: pediatric medical daycare goes by a different name in every state. Florida calls it PPEC. Texas calls it PPECC. Louisiana calls it Pediatric Day Health Care (PDHC). Pennsylvania calls it PECC. Underneath the acronyms it is the same thing: skilled pediatric nursing all day, in a place built for kids, covered by Medicaid.
Your child gets medical care from nurses who know complex needs. Your child also gets friends, play, learning, and a routine. You get your day back.
Why we're excited
HealthCare for Kids is built on the same belief as Spark. Children with complex medical needs deserve high quality, safe care in addition to a real childhood. Families shouldn’t have to choose. Both companies are focused on this mission and together, we will continue to deliver excellent care and service to children and their families.
